A native of the beautiful city of Savannah, Ga., Steven and his family moved to the Signal Mountain area in 2011 when he began serving as Signal Pres’ Director of Music Ministries. He has served churches in Texas and Colorado and has experienced a variety of ministry contexts including established churches, church plants, and foreign missions. As an educator, he has served students both at the preparatory and collegiate levels.

His educational background includes degrees in church music from Johnson University (Knoxville, TN) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Fort Worth, TX). Just before moving to Signal Mountain, Steven completed doctoral course work at the University of Northern Colorado where he studied choral conducting.

Steven and his wife, Kathy, have two adult children and a stinky little dog named Jack. Providing English language instruction, Kathy enjoys working with internationals.
